Only reason i waited was because the initial lineup didn’t impress me except for Pumpkins, Fishbone, Living Colour, and Circle Jerks. I figured id just go the day Pumpkins played but then the lineup got better. IIRC it was $7 or $8 for a beer, and might have been the same for the Strongbow cider as well. They are tall boys (16 oz.) so it's really not that bad. I've paid close to $15 for a 6 oz. pour at a bar here in Chicago. Last year as far as beer was All Rise brewery (it's ok, but there are far better brewery options in Chicago), Dos Equis, and ... Delux VIP is pricey but it’s pretty easy to get your money’s worth at the open bar. The DVIP area is shaded and plenty of seating, clean bathrooms and short lines.
